Veronica Olson Props/Set Design
Biography
After graduating with a BFA in photography, Veronica Olson started out in New York assisting esteemed prop stylist Robyn Glaser. During this time she was fortunate to learn about the world of set design and prop styling while collaborating with some of the best commercial photographers in the industry.
This artistic career was a natural route that combines her skills as a painter, her obsession with antiques and her love of design. Veronica quickly established herself as a set designer and prop stylist and maintains long standing collaborations with numerous photographers and clients.
While she is still pursuing photography and has even worked in a dual role on some projects, she has found a love for using objects to tell a story and creating a singular vision. For her, each role informs the other and her versatility, attention to detail and sensitivity to light allows her to elevate a product or interior with a refined look that feels at once unexpected and inevitable.
She has designed sets and sourced props for clients ranging from Williams Sonoma, Food52 and Oxo to Flamingo, Hanna Andersson and Skip Hop. She is also currently working on a book photographing French chateaux and while she resides in New York City she keeps a suitcase at the ready and thrives on travel at a moment’s notice for both work and pleasure.
